Fall is the best time to create a playlist for the upcoming holidays. Not only does it create the mood but it pretty much brings the season to life. At least that’s what I do since I do most of my driving to visit families and friends during this festive seasons, so having a playlist is very essential.
“HELLO” by Adele.
If you haven’t heard or watched the video to Adele’s new song “Hello”, you’re clearly living under a rock. I literally created a playlist for only this one song so it can play on repeat continuously. I know I forced it but I refused to be judged. I mean the song is not even a week old and it has over 30 million views. Words cannot even express what a masterpiece the song is. You just have to check it out for yourself. The song is the first single in Adele’s new album ‘25’ which will debut on Nov. 20th.
“SORRY” by Justin Bieber
I don’t know about you, but no matter the season you gotta turn up here and there. And Justin Bieber’s new song “Sorry” just gives you the vibe to show off some dance moves. (Whether you can dance or not). I am not a fan of the Biebs, but I do respect him as an artist and his no. 1 singles seem to prove it. “What do you mean” is his other single that everybody and their mommas seem to know the lyrics to. Bieber's new album titled ‘Purpose’, will be available on Nov. 13th.
“HOTLINE BLING” by Drake
Drake has been on the scene lately because of his beef with Robert Rihmeek Williams, better known by his stage name ‘Meek Mill’. Personally I think he won the battle hands down. But Drake’s new single ‘Hotline Bling’ has been remixed on social media if you know what I mean. In spite of its catchy tone and laid back vibe, the video appears to have caught more attention than the actual song. If you’re not in the loop yet, go check out the song and some of its ‘remixes’ then tell me what you think.
“Unbreakable” by Janet Jackson
Janet Jackson made a comeback this year after she was on hiatus that was literally as long as almost half of some our age groups. (Just saying) But her comeback clearly shows that she still got it. Her new album “Unbreakable” and single, has earned her a Historic Seventh No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 Chart. If you’re a fan of Miss Jackson then this album will not disappoint.
“Jingle Bells”
Christmas is around the corner and I am not ashamed to say that I have been listening to some of my favourite Christmas hits. This doesn’t mean that am looking forward for the snow though. Apart from the classic songs that we all listen to (“All I want for Christmas” by Mariah Carey…ETC) Sam’s Smith song, ”Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and the Acapella group Pentatonix’S album titled “That’s Christmas to me” are great hits to check out.
I hope I have been able to give you some insight on some of my favorite songs that I think everyone must have on their play list during this season. Don’t forget to comment and let me know what some of your favourite hits are.
