Hello my fellow Lyndon Stater's,
As you may know - thanksgiving break is among us. November 23rd through the 27th is the time we get to go home, relax, and unwind from all the craziness this semester has brought us. Our dining hall food infested bodies will now be able to transition to scrumptious home-cooked thanksgiving meals, we will be able to nap all day, and boys - you can even watch some football. There are many reasons this break is a break like no other, and heres just a few:
Your friends will actually be home unlike some of our other random breaks, thanksgiving is a break other colleges actually get , even if they are home for just three days, you still get to catch up on all that fall semester has brought you.
Black Friday is the day after thanksgiving seriously... no matter how broke you are you can at least afford one thing. Or if you're anything like me you just go with your friends for entertainment... there really is nothing like those crazy Black Friday mom's.
And if you're 21 the day before thanksgiving is a total bar night. Thanksgiving eve is the day where all college kids come home, get together with their high school friends, and drink. This is to commemorate the past & celebrate the present, and I SO can not wait to turn 21 and do this.
You get to see your extended family this is a good and bad one for many of us, and maybe more towards the bad side if you are a little too hungover on thanksgiving day. But seeing your extended family can be a comforting and fun time, and you know for sure at least one relative brought that crazy good pie you love.
And did I mention the food? The food is absolutely one hundred percent the best part to thanksgiving break. Here are some things you may be eating or drinking, just to get you hungry:
So if any of these things didn't get you excited for Thanksgiving break, I don't know what will!
