OK - so, it's getting colder. For a lot of us this means ski season is approaching and your weekends will soon be transitioning to hitting the slopes. But for those of us not so into cold, this means it's time to get out there and enjoy FALL before it is... well, winter.
So how do you soak up this autumn weather before we are freezing our butts off indoors?

- GO HIKING - Mount Pisgah is one of the most beautiful hiking trails around LSC. It offers easy trails as well as harder trails. So if you're not so good at hiking and want the view? Hit up the easy trail on Pisgah, and make sure to take some pics! Located on the east side of Lake Willoughby in Westmore, Vermont.
- HIT UP BURKE - SO you're not into hiking? That's okay! Burke Mountain is offering chair lift rides to the top! Just 7 dollars per person and you get a beautiful scenic view to the top of Burke Mountain. Once you get to the top, definitely take some pics and check out the fire tower - that's where you will see the best views. Burke is offering rides on weekends from now until mid October.
- GO APPLE PICKING - It's okay to be basic, apple picking is fun and it's WAY better in Vermont. St. Johnsbury has Sweet Seasons Farm & Artisan Confections, or check out Burtts Apple Orchard in Cabot!
- GET LOST IN A CORN MAZE - Just down the road in Danville, Vermont they have what's called The Great Vermont Corn Maze. This maze is a big tourist attraction in our area, and averages between 2 and 5 hours to complete! This maze is the real deal and only lasts during our fall season.
- HAVE A PICNIC - yes I know this could sound lame, but check out heavens bench located right by the Wildflower Inn, on Darling Hill Road - you'll thank me later. The views are gorgeous, and there's nothing better then enjoying some nice and warm Vermont cider while taking in those beautiful mountain views. Where to get the cider? Try the Freighthouse in Downtown Lyndonville! All organic and local products, and cute Vermont atmosphere.
